The benefits of DHA & GLA Rich Oil
Does your horse have a dull coat, skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, rain scald, QLD Itch or any other type of irritation due to environmental allergens? Or perhaps is anxious in the paddock or out at shows?
A highly concentrated form of omega 3 DHA and also GLA, can be a potent anti-inflammatory which can have profound effects on reducing inflammatory skin conditions and irritations. Omega-3s may moisturise the skin, nourish hair follicles and fight off red, dry, or itchy skin caused by these skin disorders. This can add a skin barrier function by sealing in moisture and keeping out irritants. Boost your horse's skin resistance. Studies suggest that feeding concentrated doses of Omega 3 DHA may help reduce stress hormone level, cortisol.*

Omega 3, 6 and 9 are suitable for all horses including ulcer-prone and laminitic horses. Omega 3, 6 and 9 fats, including the natural and powerful anti-inflammatory, Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA). GLA has been scientifically proven to increase the secretion of protective mucus in the gut to help prevent ulcers. Scientific studies even suggest that GLA may be a more beneficial anti-inflammatory than the ALA. GLA may also support healthy joint function, help enhance the immune system, improve muscle and cellular membrane function, aid in cardiovascular health, all while helping to add that extra gloss to your horse’s coat. Omega+ may play a role in maintaining a healthy immune system by reducing inflammation and promoting strong immune defences. This can help to alleviate conditions such as anxiety and stress. Studies suggest that feeding concentrated doses of Omega 3 DHA may help reduce stress hormone level, cortisol.
Adding quality oils, to the diet has also shown to help horses with anhidrosis, and to minimise sweat loss by horses during high activity and/or humid conditions. It may be able to improve the fertility of stallions and mares and the likelihood of a live foal being born. The fats can help make up the outer layer of the stallion’s semen, improving the chances of conception while the mare’s “eggs” are surrounded by a layer of fats like that found in Omega rich oil. Scientific studies have also found that the fluid in the uterine of pregnant mares contains fats almost identical to this.
Omega+ contains no sugars, no starch, no gluten, and no GMO making it purely a “Powerhouse” energy source without the “fizz” that comes with feeding grains or oil. In fact, there is nearly 3 times more energy in Omega+ than that found in any grain feed or oil! Omega+ is a powerhouse of pure “cool” energy.
