The benefits of Omega 3 & GLA Rich Oil
Does your horse have a dull coat, skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, rain scald, QLD Itch or any other type of irritation due to environmental allergens? Or perhaps is anxious in the paddock or out at shows?
A concentrated form of omega 3 and also GLA can have an anti-inflammatory role, which may help reduce inflammatory skin conditions and irritations. Omega-3s may moisturise the skin, nourish hair follicles and help with red, dry, or itchy skin caused by these skin disorders. This can add a skin barrier function by sealing in moisture and keeping out irritants.
Leading PhD Nutritionists' Advice
Omega 3, 6 and 9 are suitable for all horses including ulcer-prone and laminitic horses. Omega 3, 6 and 9 fats include the natural anti-inflammatory Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA). Scientific studies suggest that GLA may be a more beneficial anti-inflammatory than ALA. GLA may also support healthy joint function, help enhance the immune system, improve muscle and cellular membrane function, aid in cardiovascular health, all while helping to add that extra gloss to your horse’s coat. Omega 3 and GLA may play a role in maintaining a healthy immune system and supporting normal immune defences.
Adding quality oils to the diet has also shown to help horses with anhidrosis, and to minimise sweat loss by horses during high activity and/or humid conditions. Dietary omega fats also have a role in reproductive health. The fats can help make up the outer layer of the stallion’s semen, while the mare’s “eggs” are surrounded by a layer of fats like that found in Omega rich oil. Scientific studies have also found that the fluid in the uterine of pregnant mares contains fats almost identical to this.

In February 2026 I started using HH Omega for a warmblood I have had for 16 years. Pirate is a 20-year-old that is still in work. He has had a history of anxiety and stomach ulcers. Omega has done wonders for him. in the last two months I have been able to reduce his anxiety medication while maintaining a happy horse. Pirate also had skin issue including a yest mold and getting red itchy skin. His skin has cleared up, and he has the best coat I have very seen on him. If your horse has similar issue, I would absolutely recommend giving HH Omega ago.

Cannot fault any of the products offered by HH, the Omega has been exceptional if keeping my big lad a little grounded and the UA. Pellets have minimised my mares loose stools! I just wish the postage was more within my price range!

I absolutely love all of the HH products. I especially like the Omega+ oil as it is non heating and amazing for the horse's skin and coat, creating a glow from the inside out. I feed the Omega+, Vitality+ and the Gut Health+ to both of my ottb horses. This is my 16.2h, 6yo ott and the difference in the photos are only 3 months on the HH products. Due to his colouring, it is difficult to see in this photo, the amount of shine in his coat, but it really is extraordinary. He is also super calm and level headed due to these amazing supplements. I would highly recommend the HH products to anyone who has OTTBs.

I started my guy on all three products a month ago. The results have been fantastic. He’s always been difficult to build topline but his back has finally started to round out. His coat is coming through so golden and it’s never felt so soft before. Love the products and can’t wait to see how much better he is going to get
The oil is incredible, however, in the 1l option the spray isn't great as for 15-20mls you need a lot of spray. What about a small dispensing pump like on soap bottles?

Loving HH hemp oil. Nugget is a 24 year old stock horse with arthritis and I was told to try hemp by my equine chiro to keep him feeling great. His coat is amazing too.

I just love this product for the show horses 🦄
Hank is a 31 year old Arab gelding. 12 months ago we were on the verge of euthanasing him as his fetlocks would lock causing him great discomfort. He would also have periods of dragging one back foot. He is on vet prescribed products and has had several cortisone injections into the joints. We made the decision the next time he has an episode of the severe lameness and pain would be the last time. Then a neighbour suggested trying the HH Omega oil about 8 months ago. I can’t believe the difference. He has fluid joint movement at the walk. He trots and canters in the paddock stiffly but comfortably and he is happy! And his coat is soft. He is still on the vet advised products as well. I would recommend this product to anyone. I can find some videos if anyone would like to see the difference.
I love the products
AMAZING results from my campdraft horses with using this product! Honestly the best oil supplement for horses with physical demands on their joints, reduces inflammation and helps prevent joint related injuries. The oil has also improved the shine in their coats.
Loving the omega got started on High horse by cousin Narelle she was kind enough to give me a tub of vitality and in about a week I noticed Shades was shinier and more keen and excited to run.
